Johnny and Michelle have tied the knot! I have to say, this wedding took me back. Like back home! Johnny and Michelle celebrated their love with a beautiful church ceremony in Blumenort - not far from where I grew up. I loved so many of the details they included in their ceremony - the rope braiding, the washing of one another's feet, the Bible verse guest book, just to name a few. Oh, and how cool is this - The couple were married by Michelle's father!!
After the ceremony we headed out for some fabulous wintery photos. Now we can all agree that this past winter has been a mild one, but let me just say that was not the case on Michelle and Johnny's wedding day! It was frigid outside to say the least... and half the wedding party was from Texas!! But we didn't let the cold temperature stop us! Between the love and the laughter I don't think we had time to notice the cold! We then headed for a warm up and some more photos at the lovely Oakridge Greenhouse and made a quick stop at Michelle's Uncle's home (which is a FABULOUS renovated church - complete with steeple), before heading back to the church reception for a delicious pulled pork dinner!
Also, I'd like to mention that for Johnny and Michelle's wedding I had the privilege of working alongside fellow photographer and dear friend, the very talented Melanie Reimer of Prairie and Pine Studios. This girl has some serious skills and she's also the button in the cap of kindness! You can check out her work at www.prairieandpine.ca
